Another 2-0 away win for the senior boys, this time against Peninsula Strikers.
In similar fashion to last week, a goal in either half secured the three points for Berwick.
After quite a few efforts and sustained pressure on the opposition goal, Berwick finally got on the board with an own goal by the Peninsula goalkeeper after a wicked Andy Jerez corner.
Although Berwick dominated and were very comfortable, the mood in the dressing room at half time was very sombre as star striker David DiIorio went down with a serious knee injury right before the break. It has now been confirmed that he has ruptured his ACL and will require surgery and 12 months of rehab. We wish him all the best and look forward to having him back in action for the red and white in 2020.
The second half was again full of chances for Berwick, however they could only convert one more goal and this time it was new recruit Sayed Fatemi who scored on debut.
The Reserves put in a much improved performance and went down 2-0.
